

A variety of crops are grown in the district and they include the following; Cotton, Coffee, Cocoa and Vanilla are grown purely for cash while Maize, Beans, G.nuts, Cassava, Rice, Sweet potatoes, Millet and Bananas are major food crops. Other crops grown include simsim, yams, Soya beans, Sunflower, Vegetables and fruits.

More classrooms have been constructed, instructional materials were supplied to schools, and more teachers have been recruited and deployed to handle the long-drawn-out enrolment in schools.

It’s through these farmer groups that community are operating/ accessing the services. Each farmer group is headed by a chairperson. There are 363 male farmer groups and 489 female farmer groups in the district.
The programme was rolled to cover all the 21 lower local governments of Luuka district.
